“With great power comes great responsibility,” and with great patience comes…a really freaking great photoshoot.
For shoot number three, I enlisted the help of one of my best friends and her younger brother. Jenebrith and I have literally known each other for ten whole years, so it was really fun to share a piece of this experience with her.
And when I tell you the photos turned out so well! There’s always a bit of a learning curve (on my end and theirs) when it comes to shooting real people who aren’t necessarily models. That’s not to say real or “regular” people can’t be models, but that people who identify as models work differently than those who don’t. And more still, my job as a photographer takes a different shape as well.
For most of these shoots, I shot with people who don’t necessarily consider themselves to be models careerwise, but were still up for the task. And as a result, each time it was even more rewarding to stick that memory card into my laptop and see how amazingly everything turned out. Like, you don’t consider yourself a model and you showed out like this?! May God bless you! (And also encourage you to continue in this line of work because WHEW!)
Let’s just say, I feel blessed. I have such beautiful and kind-hearted friends that it brings me the utmost joy to get to capture a bit of their essence whilst promoting my brand.
So, thank you Jenebrith and Moses! Their promo video drops Thursday! 😉
