An introduction...sort of

Ho. I mean hi. I’m Shelby [the art bandit] and I’m the creator of BANDIT, at large. And I’m correcting typos in text instead of revising because that seems like the honest thing to do.

BANDIT may take on my namesake (my alias, not my real name lol) but it is NOT me.  I am the creator as I mentioned, like, a second ago and it is, in its current form, just a collection of my own ideas and stuff but BANDIT exists all on her own and she is a flower and she’s beautiful and I love her. Run on sentence. Not sorry. Run on sentences are awesome I am a run on sentence they make more sense to me.

But anyways what I mean by BANDIT is her own thing is that while right now it’s just me and a few favors from friends, I fantasize about a day where the only thing I do in BANDIT is observe. I want this to grow, to bloom, to take on a life of her own, to be a friend to skaters & creators everywhere, to be a home. That’s why it was so easy to go full force on this. It’s bigger than me. So much bigger. And I like it that way.

I love a flower I can–wait what I am saying lmao–I love a project I can throw myself into. Sorry about that weird moment. I’m tired and had two cups of coffee today so I’m still feeling that caffeine high. And also I do really love flowers but that’s beside the point and now I’m rambling.

My bad.

But as I was saying I love a project I can really immerse myself in wholly and that I think will never have a final form, that can always be growing and expanding into more things, bigger things, better things. That’s why in the first sentence of this short little essay-thing that is mostly me going off on pointless tangents, I said “BANDIT, at large” and not BANDITxAPPAREL. She’s an apparel brand for now, but not forever. One day, she’ll be a skate brand too and a van and a store with a lounge in the back and many other things I haven’t even thought of yet.

Like I said, BANDIT is a thing all her own and that she shall be for as long as she pleases.

Oh, thank you for coming, by the way. And welcome to the family!

I’m glad you’re here 😉
